I'm in mid pre-production of a low-no budget movie and I'm looking for the ideal
effect for the finale!
A cop shoots the lead character in the knee, he spins and shoots another cop in the stomach then another cop shoots him in the head. I want to film the bullets exit
but when it cuts back to the front I want to see a small bullet hole with blood running from it....
Can anyone help?

My advice is good luck as your trying to produce a multi-million pound film with your pocket money as the budget. That's OK if your Dodie Al Fayed!!!!

Don't listen to the discouraging remarks for various other people... your film sounds like an great project and others are just jealous because they are till the the 2D-film-making "money is all you need" frame of mind.. which is NOT the truth.
Sorry I don't really have any ideas about putting the blood in in post... its actaully pretty hard to do it... I would have suggested doing it while u actually filmed... much easier!
Keep up the good work,

You know I'm not sure about the blood spilling out of a hole in the head thing, but I think an easier and less stressful solution would be pinging (technical term) a small amount of blood mixture on the head of the person shot, and at the same time flicking (another techie term) blood mix roughly at the same area at a background. I've never tried this but you see it on big films, it looks shit, but goddamnnit if they do it, why shouldn't you?!
